We seem to live in a world overcome by immediacy, nonsense, and self-serving action. Art has been deemed the sacrifice of our time—a seemingly valueless investment. We are set to consume, and desire quantity over quality. In no sphere has this been more evident than hip hop music.

The HATESPEAK has welled up in our throats. We choose not to sit idly and allow the lowest common denominator to be chief to the mechanism. We've endured war, blight, social disease, and pain...and we've decided to speak rather than become wrought up.

HATESPEAK is a collaborative effort featuring hip hop artists from across the nation. Each brings their own personal flavor and perspective to the project. In this undertaking, we seek to prove that our generation and genre has a voice; educated, driven, fierce, and unwavering. Smart rap is back!
